The Los Angeles Trans Oral History Project (LATOHP) is an ongoing archive dedicated to preserving and sharing stories of transgender resistance, resilience, and survival in Los Angeles. This work challenges the erasure of trans histories by documenting lived experiences.
LATOHP is committed to building a history that centers trans voices on our own terms. Trans people should shape the narratives about our lives. Traditional archives often exclude or restrict access to trans communities. This project aims to create an accessible, open archive of trans histories that all trans people can use, share, and build upon freely.
All interviews are released into the public domain, with no copyright or usage restrictions. Our stories remain available to our communities, always.
